Which features does the Lexus Safety System+ include?
PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM WITH PEDESTRIAN DETECTION
The Lexus Safety System+ includes a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection. This unique feature will help your Lexus detect a pedestrian, vehicle or other obstacles in its path. If your vehicle detects a frontal collision is possible, it’s designed to use Brake Assist to apply pressure to the brakes for you. In certain instances, Brake Assist can automatically bring your Lexus to a stop for you.
LANE ASSISTANCE
A variety of Lane Assistance Systems in the Lexus Safety System+ ensure that you’re always safe on the road. Lane Departure Alert will give drivers an audible alert if it detects you’re exiting your lane. Meanwhile, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist will pull on the steering wheel slightly to guide you back into your intended lane. Then there’s Lane Keep Assist, which integrates with cruise control to prevent drifting from your lane before you even do it!
INTELLIGENT HIGH BEAMS

ALL-SPEED OR HIGH-SPEED DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL
High-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is included in the Lexus Safety System+ only on the IS 2017-2020 | RC & RC F 2018-2020 | GX 2020 Thanks to this system, you can maintain a preset speed and following distance from the vehicle ahead of yours. Radar and camera technology ensure that if you start to get closer than the preset distance, the throttle is reduced for you and the brakes are applied if necessary. Once traffic clears, your Lexus will return to the speed you set ahead of time.
Which features does the Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 include?
PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM
With the Lexus Safety System+ 2.0, drivers get an enhanced version of the Pre-Collision System. While it can still do everything the version in the Lexus Safety System+ can, the newest iteration also can detect obstacles during daytime and low-light conditions. The updated Pre-Collision System has enhanced radar and camera capabilities, allowing it to see bicyclists in the daytime, too. If a potential frontal collision is detected, Brake Assist will help bring your vehicle to a stop.
LANE ASSISTANCE
The Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 adds a second lane assistance feature to Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist. This feature, called Lane Tracing Assist, is a hands-on system that integrates with All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control to ensure drivers remain centered in their lane, even when the highway is curving ahead.
